Meet your dog trainer
It’s all about building a relationship
My pandemic pup, Jax, ran away within the first few weeks of adopting him. After wandering around calling and coaxing him back, I luckily bumped into a man taking Jax for a walk. Those were just about the worst two hours of my life, and I knew I never wanted to experience anything like that again, so I became enthralled in learning about different training methodologies, best practices, and long-standing myths. Then, I put my knowledge to the test.
I discovered what Jax responded to, and more importantly, what he didn’t respond to. I fell in love with training, and it has become something I look forward to every day. Now, Jax and I hang out in my unfenced backyard, he no longer has reactivity on the leash, and he looks to me for guidance instead of acting on his impulses. Since we began our training, Jax is much more relaxed and lives a life full of freedom because I trust him with that responsibility knowing his obedience is solid.
